Lillian May - 6 Months

I can't believe Lilly May is already 6 months old.  We sure love her to pieces. Timmy loves her so much too. He likes to run through the house saying baby sister and he gives her kisses all the time. Whenever shes down on the floor, he is right there beside her.
Lilly is rolling over like a pro. She can even scoot around in circles when she's on her belly to reaches things that she wants. I think we'll have a crawler on our hands soon. She is a grabber. She loves to have things in her hands. She's not quite sitting unsupported yet but she's pretty close. We gave her a little bit of rice cereal a couple of weeks ago and she scarfed it down. Every time we've tried to give it to her after that she hasn't wanted it, so it looks like she not quite ready for solids, but we'll keep trying. She's a good little sleeper. She can normally make it 7-8 hours a night.
Seriously, we love her and our so happy and blessed to have her sweet, happy, little personality in our lives.

5 Ugly Monsters

Recently Timmy has been very into reading his books. By reading I mean he'll look at the pictures and name things in them. The other day I caught him with Goodnight Moon.  He was sitting on the floor and I heard "Night cow, Night kitten, night mitten."  Lately he has become quite the expert at reciting 5 Ugly Monsters. It's completely adorble and I love how he bumps himself on the the head whenever he says the word bump. Luckily, he was super cooperative and we caught him reading the book with Daddy on video.

Lake Tahoe and Vikingsholm Castle

We made plans to hike down Vikingsholm trail to walk around the castle down in Emerald Bay.  We packed  up the stoller and a pinic into the car and drove to the trail head. Just as soon as we got there it started pouring rain. We decided to skip out on the hike and save it for the next weekend. We then drove around the lake waiting for the rain to die down so we could find a a place to eat our picnic. We got out of the car at Kings Beach, but it was so cold we only lasted about 5 minutes before we decided it was probably best to just head home.

The next weekend the weather was much drier and much, much warmer and we were able to go for our hike after all. The trail wasn't very long, but it was a little uneven and it was steep. This made pushing the stroller not very pleasant. Next time we'll have to figure out how to pack a little lighter so we can just kid down with the kids in carriers.  Timmy had a fun time running around the beach and Emerald bay was a beautiful sight to see.

We stopped for ice cream on the way home and Timmy got to share Mommy's ice cream cone.

Lillian's 5 month Pictures

I decided to go vintage for Lilly's pictures. I made a little flapper hat and put her in some pearls. She was so happy while were talking her pictures. It was cute and resulted in a lot of cute pictures.
