A Hike at Taylor Creek

When Greg and I first came out to Gardnerville the first time to find a place to live we wandered around lake Tahoe. We found a little trail that lead to a underwater viewing area. We didn't actually make it down the trail that day. We decided to leave after a forest ranger told us there was a bear and her cub hanging out in the area.  We've been telling ourselves we needed to go back sometime. We decided to go today. Timmy loved the fish at the Denver Zoo so we figured he would enjoy this hike since he would get to run around outside and see the fish through the glass. We had no idea that there is a salmon spawning season going on up at the creek right now. I guess we just happened to pick the right time of year to go to the underground viewing area.  I guess the salmon are a big attraction though, because there were a lot of people hiking the trail. The trees changing color made the nature scenery even more beautiful. We really picked the perfect time of year to take a hike.
